Leadership
Circle Profile

Use the Leadership Circle to identify how your habits of thought and internal assumptions might be limiting your intended impact. It is powerful because:

  • It goes beyond surface-level feedback: It is the only 360 degree tool that connects your everyday competencies  with the internal assumptions fuelling them

  • It measures Creative Competencies and Reactive Tendencies: it visually maps out your strengths (Creative, "above the line") and your defensive coping habits (Reactive, which might have helped your career in the past but are now holding you back (Reactive, "below the line")

  • It helps you pivot from managing to leading: It shows you how to evolve from a "socialized" mindset  (where you are defined by others' expectations)  to a "self-authoring" mindset (driven by core principles)

1. Do I need prior coaching training?

No, you don’t need any previous coaching training or experience. The programme is designed for anyone who is interested in learning coaching skills.

2. What if I’m not a senior leader?

The programme is designed for people in leadership positions - that might mean you have direct reports, or need to influence people to get your work done (and thus need to have clear, intentional and powerful conversations).

3. Will this be practical?

Yes every element is designed for immediate use - whether as a framework for you to use before acting or taking a big decision, or for powerful conversations (both to prepare for them, and to execute them)

4. How is it different from management training?

We will be equipping you with tools and skills that you can choose how to use - we will not be giving you a formula to do X, Y and Z - you will work out how you want to use what you learn in the programme.

5. What if I already know coaching?

The programme teaches a number of coaching skills, with a lot of context around how to use them if you are leading people and how to blend them with other types of leader conversations such as mentoring or feedback.
